Singalila Range :: Trekking Itinerary

Thumki Danra Trek, Achalley Trek

Singalila Range -Thumki Danra Trek (3 nights 4 days)

Day 01

N.J.P., Bagdogra, Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Gangtok, Namchi, Ravangla, Kewjing, Pelling, Yuksom, Sombaria, Mangalbaria, Rinchenpong, Kaluk to Uttarey Valley, 7600fts. Altitude (2-5hrs Drive)  Overnight stay at Uttarey.

Day 02

Uttarey Valley to Thumki Danra just above Laminey Pokhari (8,200fts. Altitude), 3-4 hrs trekking.  Enroute chestnut forest, wild Orchids, Gumbadara hamletand view of snow clades.  One can also get the panoramic view of Mt. Pandim and Mt. Khangchendzonga.  Overnight stay at Thumki   camp.

Day 03

Early morning enjoy the chirping of birds, fantastic sunrise view, beautiful view of Nathula range and close view of Mt. Khangchendzonga and Mt. Simvo.  Back to Uttarey Valley.  Overnight stay at Uttarey.

Day 04

After breakfast checkout from Uttarey to other destinations.

Singalila Range - Achalley Trek (3nights 4 days)

Day 01

N.J.P., Bagdogra, Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Gangtok, Namchi, Ravangla, Kewjing, Pelling, Yuksom, Sombaria, Mangalbaria, Rinchenpong, Kaluk to Uttarey Valley, 7600fts. Altitude (2-5hrs Drive)  Overnight stay at Uttarey.

Day 02

Uttarey Valley to Achalley Danra(8,5oofts. Altitude) 5hrs trekking. Enrooted- Maneybong Kagyud monastery, Mangheem Thegu,  Sherpa village,  fern species, Rhododenddron forest, wild Orchids and panoramic view of Mt. Kanchendzonga, Mt. Sinolchu, Mt. Rathong and chirping of birds. Overnight stay at nature camping.

Day 03

Early morning one can see the unparalleled view of Mt. Kanchendzonga and its all dominant peaks along with explore of different species of Rhododendron forests.  Back to Uttarey Valley and overnight stay at Uttarey.
